Fjords Review and Fjords Books
Fjords Review continues to publish periodically in print, digitally, and online. Fjords Review is a Pushcart Prize winning, and Best New Poets selected print and online journal.
Fjords Books publishes chapbooks, and full-length books. We began publishing chapbooks in 2022. IWe are working on our first full-length books for 2025 and plan to continue publishing full-length books and chapbooks moving forward! Wwe read all chapbook and full-length book submissions. We plan to publish 1-5 chapbooks and 1-3 full-length books in print and eBook each year, though this may vary. All books receive an advance, wide distribution, and copies. Where is Fjords Review?
Fjords Review
Fjords Review participates in Choice Magazine Listening, which provides free audio recordings to the visually impaired. Each edition is also included in the permanent collection of New York Public Library's Helen Bernstein Periodicals and Journals Library, Southbank Centre's Poetry Library and Poet's House Special Collections Literary Journals. Fjords print editions are available in numerous bookstores and libraries in the United States, Canada, Europe and Asia. Indexed in the Humanities International Complete Fjords' editions are available for research purposes in over 13,000 universities worldwide. Payment
Print contributors receive two copies of the issue in which their work appears, all accepted work for the magazine appears online. Consideration from all print and online contributors are given to nomination to the Pushcart Prize, Best New Poets, PEN/O'Henry Prize, Best American Short Stories, Best American Essays, Best American Non-required Reading, The Best Small Fictions, Poetry Daily and Verse Daily. We nominate to each publication every year.
Guidelines
We do not have guidelines for how work is submitted, but suggest a cover letter and no more than 10 pages of poetry and 35 pages of fiction, creative nonfiction, hybrid work, and other types of literature.
We accept simultaneous submissions and occasionally reprint work.
We look forward to reviewing your work and try to reply within 60-90 days, though this sometimes may take much longer.

Fjords publishes book, art and music reviews, interviews, and essays.

Include all works in one document with the the translators contact information and bio on the first page. Please send the original text on one page and the translation on the next page. Submit up to 10 peices or 25 pages of work in translation.
Send us reviews on any book you think we'd like (new or old), articles and reviews on any creative subject (art, film, literature, surprise us), interviews with anyone you think has something to say. Try to follow our guidelines below, but if it’s not possible just send us what you think we’d like and we’ll go from there.
